1,000,000 is an R.E.M inspired fanzine that I published in 1985 while I was still in high school. Chronic Town blew my mind after I found left on the radio dial. I put a bunch of postcards in the ladies room at an REM concert and got a lot of responses. Several people were key contributors (Michael Krumper, Allison Peck, Andrea Dalton, Melanie Klein) sending me snail mail. I covered all production and design duties before computers with lots of stickers and typewriter correction sheets on black construction paper. This was the only issue of 1,000,000. “Not only deadlier but smarter, too.”
